Wow! I am tired, and ready for bed!! So this was my day, and then you will see why I am ready for bed. So I got up after a beautiful 8 hours of sleep, got the kids breakfast all that usual morning stuff. Then I left them with dad and ran 13.17 miles, and all but about 2 miles were hills. However, I finished with a pretty decent time, averaged 9.4 min miles...not too shabby. I was proud of myself, and I was so excited to be running out in the warm sun finally!!! I was able to go out in a tank top again and it felt so great. It really was a great run, however I forgot that the my skin does not like the sun so much and so now I am sunburnt. So funny, a couple weeks ago I was bundled up freezing my buns off trying to make my legs move, and today I am in a tank top and getting sunburned. But I am not complaining, that is for sure. Anyways, enough of running.
As soon as I got home my neighbors and I took our kids swimming at the legacy center, James and I had great time. We kept taking turns holding our breath under water. And then we went over to the playground pool part and he had fun on the slides and shooting me with water. We enjoyed a donut after we were all swimmed out. Once we got home it was time for showers, yeah I really needed one, and then we all went to Sonic for dinner. The kids got free kids meals there so why the heck not. And after a long run like that I don't feel one bit bad for eating all the fries I want and a freakin big juicy hamburger...it was good. The kids liked it too. Then we did some shopping, got a new hose, stuff like that. Tomorrow I am tearing out our old flower garden and seeing what I can do with it this year. I love making my flower garden, it is always so fun. Once we got home, James cleaned the toy room and his room. I love that he does that now. I hated cleaning those rooms. And he enjoys doing it because I always give him some reward for doing it. Tonight we all had some sixlets. I really like those candies by the way, I think I ate too many though because now my stomach does not feel quite so amazing. Anyways, then it was the usual stories with both boys on my lap and rocking and singing and all that Jazz. Then it was clean up time for me. Now that the floors are vacuumed, the bathrooms cleaned and the dishes are done I am ready to go lay down in bed and just relax, oh baby. And probably ice my knees while I am at it. Oh yeah we also went for a good long walk, James rode his trike the whole way. He gave Ben about a hundred heart attacks though because he always stops last minute before he goes onto the road. Anyways, oh yeah one more cute thing. We got our license plates today and James helped Ben put them on the car and when James was saying his Prayers he said "Thank you for the plates on the car to make people safe" I always smile when he prays because he really does think about his day and what we did and just talks about it. He is a cutie. All right, Good Night.

Our weekend, and then some.
Just a warning, this blog is not anything amazingly funny, or interesting. It's just the goings on here the past few days.
So last thursday my neighbors and I took our kids to Jump on It...James loved loved loved it. Every time we drive by it he tells us once again how he went there and how fun it was. I will admit though, it is a pretty fun place. For those of you that do not know, it is pretty much like 100 trampolines all put together, and oyu can just go jump to your hearts content. And they also have a bunch of those big blown up slides and jumping gyms, the kids of course loved those as well. Anyways, so that was a fun thing to add to a usually dull Thursday. Then Friday afternoon, I got the sudden urge to take the kids to see the Bee movie at the dollar theater. I didn't think Harrison would last very long, but he actually sat there for an hour before he got tired of it. James really liked going to a movie with us, and had a good time.
Saturday was the usual long run in the morning, but when I got home we packed the kids up and took them to McDonalds for breakfast. that was really fun. James kept saying how much he loved the sausage and ate the thing very slowly but eventually finished it. Then Ben and I went on our Saturday night date. We pretty much just went window shopping and ended up at Pudding on the Rice. I have never been there before, but I quite like Rice pudding and so it was fun to try different flavors. I got white chocolate and Coconut. I ate all the coconut and then saved the white chocolate till I got home. I then put raspberries on it and oh my heck that was about the yummiest thing I've had in a while. That night both the boys starting coughing their heads off.
So Sunday was a stay at home with sick kids day but that's okay. We had a nice day anyway. After kids went to bed Ben and I decided that we needed more rice pudding, having never made it before, we looked up a recipe online and tried it. It turned out really well. the kids ate the leftovers today and James keeps talking about the yummy rice pudding. He told Ben "good job dad making the yummy pudding" I love it when James tells us good job for something.
Then today, it was running, shopping, cleaning, laundry, and FHE. We had a great FHE though. We learned about Samuel the Lamanite, and then played Samuel the Lamanite. Which goes like this. Each person takes a turn sitting/standing on the couch and tells all of us to repent and be good while the rest of us through balls, pillows or other soft things at them. It was a hit. (no pun intended there) The kids loved it and they will for sure remember who Samuel the Lamanite was. After that we went and got ice cream cones, (wow we eat a lot of treats, good thing I am running so much) And now the kids are in bed, chores are done and I am ready to go to bed. Oh yeah, James helped me do some extra chores today and so I gave him 25 pennies. He really wants this Lightening McQueen fishing pole he saw at Target and so I told him to save up his money and he could get it. And I have been really surprised that he actually has been sticking to that. He puts all his money in a little plastic bank I got him and he does extra chores for me and he always asks if he has enough yet, it is fun. But I think I had better go buy the thing and hide it somewhere before they are gone because by the time he has enough $$ for the thing, the summer will be half over, and I would feel pretty bad if he had saved up all this time and then it was gone. So yeah.....anyways, those are the past few days here. The kids have stopped coughing their horrible cough. So tomorrow hopefully it will be warm again and they can go play outside.

Tang
Okay so my kids LOVE Tang. They really do, but I don't mind because it saves the yummy Tropicana OJ for Ben and I. But anyways, every morning the firsts words out of James' mouth are "mom, can you get me some Tang?" Lately I have been getting his cup of Tang ready and on my nightstand when I go running in the morning because he often wakes up while I am in the shower. Anyways, last week I was in the shower, James woke up, and I had not made his Tang yet. So James being the independent little boy that he is ( I don't know where he got that from) ;) Showed up in the bathroom with a cup of tang proudly exclaiming that he had made it all by himself! He was so excited and proud of himself, it was great. I was curious though about the mess waiting for me in the kitchen and the state of his tang. First off, the mess wasn't too bad, I was impressed. However, one scoop of tang powder makes 2 quarts. James' cup had about 6 oz in it. I asked him how much tang he put in his cup and he proudly told me one scoop. Yeah.......that was the brightest color orange I have ever seen. It was also very....sludgy. He drank some of it, and told me it was "too spicy" , So I fixed him a new cup.
My kids also love Ovaltine. And today while I was getting ready james showed up with a brown mustache telling me the Chocolate Milk is not as easy as Tang. I just started laughing. I went to the kitchen, there was about 1/2 cup of ovaltine powder in about 1/4 cup water....yeah that wasn't working out so good. but from the looks of things he at least enjoyed several spoonfuls of ovaltine before adding them to his cup. Today I taught him how to make Tang and Chocolate Milk. We'll see how it goes.

Valentine's Day
So today was Valentine's day, and I have to say, we had a great one. First off, this morning I got up, put out some treats n the table for ben, and then went and put hearts all over his car and more treats along with the receipt for a new car stereo (the radio/cd player in that car don't work at all and that really sucks when you are driving alone). Then I got the kids ready and packed up the car with all our valentine's goodies. James and I spent the night before making Valentine's for all his friends and family. He cut out the hearts himself and colored them and I made little red heart chocolates. He was really excited to give them to people. On some he even put the first letter of their name on the heart. I love his cute crooked handwriting. Anyways, so it was off to Grandma's for a Valentine's Party. The kids loved it. They decorated sacks to put their valentine's in, they had pizza and chocolate milk for luck. Then they ate a pink cake and tons and tons of candy. And of course they ran around like wild indians playing together. Harrison's favorite thing of all were the balloons. He didn't even want the candy, now that is shocker. He just kept saying "boon..boon!" And he spent his day carrying a balloon around. Ben met us over their after school & work. Brought me roses....red, pink, & yellow. And a black pearl necklace with earrings, and yes they are real. He has connections. Okay he did some work on a Website for a friend who sells jewelry and they traded. The necklace is worth $800. Check that out. It is gorgeous though and will look amazing with anything and everything. I love it. He always drew me another heart picture. I love those things, I am trying to find some really fun frames to put them all in and display them in our room somewhere. Anyways, we went over to Gma Morrise's. James gave her flowers and valentines, and she had bags of goodies for all of us, which we all enjoyed. Then it was off to Carls Jr for dinner for us. THe kids had fun there and James actually ate most of his hamburger, I was impressed. Then we took them to the mall, went through the disney store where James saw a huge Rocket from little einsteins and about exploded with excitement, and then to our final destination of Build a Bear, where the kids each picked out a stuffed animal. James got a monkey, Harrison a Dog. James helped stuff them and all that. They both really liked that. Then on our way out we got in a photo booth and had family pictures. They are really cute. In the second one Harrison is sticking out his tongue and it is adorable. Oh yeah, and just before we left James through a few pennies into the fountain and on the way home when I asked him what his favorite thing of the day was he said "throwing the money into the water" sheesh, is that all we had to do to make it a fun day! Anyways, we had a great day. I love holidays.

Little Boys
Since I have not blogged in forever and then some, here are a few stories that I had meant to blog about but never got around to it.
Story #1
So I was sitting on the pot, and Harrison came walking in (I swear as a mom you NEVER get any sort of privacy no matter what..but I guess I am the one that didn't lock the door, oh well) He got my lotion off the counter and unscrewed the lid. He said "uh oh" and looked at me wondering what to do. I told him to bring it to me and I would fix it. He started carrying it over and then dropped the lid Said "uh oh" again and bent over to pick it up. unfortunately, when he bent over, the botte of lotion bent over as well. Lotion was dumping out rapidly, I was helpless on the toilet. Harrison finally noticed the lotion pouring out and starting saying "uh oh. uh oh uh oh uh oh uh oh uh oh" He kept saying it, stayed bent over, and picked up the lid. he then tried to stop the lotion pouring out by putting the lid on (he was still bent over so, yes, the lotion was still coming out and the lid would not stay on) at this point I was just laughing my head off. He continued trying to put the lid on to stop the lotion and saying uh oh for a little bit and then finally stood up and handed me the lotion bottle, pretty much empty at this point and the lid. He is such a cute kid.
Story #2
I guess this isn't really a story it is just an FYI of events last month. James has horrible teeth and last month got them all drilled out and caps on 7 of them. THey had to put him completely out for the procedure and as a mom I was really nervous for him. I didn't sleep the night before and as they took him away to work on him I cried. The next couple days were pretty rough. James had a hard time coming off the anesthesia. His eyes were the biggest problem, he saw double for quite a while and that really bothered him so he just kept his eyes closed and acted like a little blind child. I felt so bad for him, I led him all over and held him all day and night while he cried because he was hurting so much. However, Gma brought him The DVD Incredibles, and a Buzz light year car and action figure and he was so excited about that and even though he couldn't watch the movie he still had me turn it on and he just listened to it. He also just carried that Buss Light Year toy everywhere with him, he took it to bed with him and he would wake up an feel around for it like a little blind kid (it made me so sad to see him like that, I can't imagine if your kid really was blind how sad that would be) Anyways, at the end of it all he had a mouth full of silver molars. I was a little afraid of how he would react to his new teeth but when he was feeling better I showed him his mouth in the mirror and let me tell you what he was 100% excited about his new teeth. He showed everyone at church his "new teeth" or "gold teeth" He thinks they a super great. His primary teacher told me he just kept showing them off to the kids and them. So I am glad that he likes his new teeth so well. Oh one thing the dentist told me was that the James' upper 4 front teeth (the ones that got mashed up into his gums last summer) were extremely loose, and that James will most likely lose those teeth within the next few months. So yeah, he will be my little toothless, golden teeth boy. But one day they'll grow back, at least these aren't permanent teeth.

I am 16 again!!
So Yesterday Ben And I spent our entire day, and when I say entire day I mean entire day, buying a new car...for ME!!! We got a 2008 Honda Pilot. It is silver ad absolutely gorgeous. I seriuosly have been so excited to get this car. I couldn't sleep the night before we got it. I honesty feel like I am 16 again and justgot my license. I say that because since Ben and I got married we have only ever had one car, and since he had to go to work and school, he pretty much always had the car which left me at home pretty much all the time...not so amazing let me tell you what. But it was fine at the time because that is what we needed to do to make it, but now that we can afford another car...oh baby. I couldn't wait to get one. So now we have it, and I love being able to go wherever, whenever. It is great! I also like how incredibly tough I feel in that thing, I feel all sorts of powerful in it...ha ha! Anyways, it is a really great car, it is 8 passenger, 4wd, blah blah, all that fun stuff. It has serious guts, which I am not at all used to, (in our other car you are lucky if it actually goes at all when you press on the gas, sometimes it just doesn't, which sucks when you are trying to make a left turn) In fact today I made a left turn and was shocked to notice that I was going 45 mph like 2 seconds into the turn, oh baby I love that thing. So yeah, I feel like I am 16...so watch out.
